Neto is currently playing for FC Barcelona in the Spanish LaLiga. The Brazilian goalkeeper started his career in his home country with Atletico Paranaense, where he played 36 times before moving to Europe in 2011 by signing for Italian side Fiorentina.

A successful 4 seasons with club saw Neto play 101 times for the club, keeping 34 clean sheets and holding an impressive 1.12 goals against average. He even helped the Italian side to an Coppa Italia final in 2014. His impressive performances for Fiorentina earned him a move to Italian giants, Juventus in 2015.

During his two seasons in Turin, the 6’3 keeper would win two Serie A and Coppa Italia doubles. Although he was back up to legendary goalkeeper Buffon, Neto featured in most cup competitions including making his Champions League debut against Dinamo Zagreb in a 2-0 victory.

After 22 appearances for Juve, in 2017, Neto signed for Valencia for 7 million. In two seasons at the club, Neto was their number 1 net minder, won the Copa del Rey, played in both the Champions League and Europa league and collected 80 appearances, 24 clean sheets and boasted a 1.03 goals against average before making the biggest switch of his career.

In June 2019, Barcelona announced Neto as their new 26 million euro signing with the potential for 9 million in add-ons. Neto is a full Brazilian senior international after receiving his only cap so far against El Slavador in 2018. He is also an Olympic Silver Medal holder after he represented the team in 2012🥈 He is currently wearing @adidasfootball gloves .
